Good to know
Temples in the Godavari districts usually open around 5–6 am, close for a few hours from about 12:30 pm, and reopen around 3–4 pm. Timings change on festival days, so please check before travel.
Traditional clothing is best: dhoti or trousers with a shirt for men, saree, half-saree or churidar with dupatta for women. Avoid shorts and sleeveless tops.
On Karthika Mondays and Maha Shivaratri the queues can run for several hours. Weekdays outside Karthika Masam are much quieter.
Many devotees try to complete all five temples on one day in Karthika Masam. This plan spreads them over two days for comfort; tell us if you want the one-day version.
The Konaseema roads between Palakollu and Draksharamam are narrow in places, so the drive can take longer than the distance suggests.
Questions travellers ask
Can we cover all five Pancharamas in one day?
It is possible with a very early start and about 14–15 hours on the road and in queues. We recommend this 3-day plan for families and elders, but we can arrange a one-day version on request.
Are darshan tickets included?
No. Free darshan is available at all five temples. Special darshan, abhishekam and other seva tickets are bought at each temple and paid by you.
Is the order of temples important?
There is no single fixed order. We follow the route that keeps driving time lowest, starting at Amaravati and ending at Samarlakota.
Can we start from Hyderabad instead?
Yes. Hyderabad to Amaravati is about 275 km. We can add a day or an overnight train to Vijayawada; ask us for a revised quote.
Is the car suitable for elderly parents?
Yes. It is a private AC car with a driver, and the temples have only short walks from the parking area. For 4–6 guests we can quote an Innova or Ertiga.
