Day-by-day itinerary
Arrive Bali · drive to your Ubud pool villa — Our driver meets you at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar, and drives you to Ubud, about 35 km and 1.5–2 hours in traffic. Check in to your private pool villa, usually from 2 pm. If you arrive early enough, walk to Ubud Palace and the market in the evening; otherwise rest at the villa.
Ubud: rice terraces, water temple and Monkey Forest — After breakfast, drive to the Tegallalang rice terraces, about 25 minutes north, while the light is soft. Continue to Tirta Empul, a temple built around a sacred spring where Balinese Hindus bathe in the purification pools; a sarong is provided. In the afternoon, visit the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud town, and keep bags and sunglasses closed near the monkeys. Entry tickets are included; a swing…
Ubud to Nusa Dua via Tanah Lot — After breakfast, check out and drive west to Tanah Lot, about 1.5 hours. The temple sits on a rock in the sea and is one of Bali's most important sea temples; at low tide you can walk to the base of the rock. Continue to Nusa Dua, about 1.5 hours, and check in to your private pool villa near the beach. The evening is free.
Beach morning · Uluwatu temple and Kecak dance — Spend the morning at the villa pool or the beach. At about 4 pm, drive to Uluwatu temple, about 30–40 minutes away, which stands on a 70-metre cliff above the Indian Ocean. Watch the Kecak fire dance at sunset in the cliff-top amphitheatre, where a chanting chorus tells a story from the Ramayana. Temple and Kecak tickets are included; you are back by about 8 pm.
Free day in Nusa Dua — A free day at your villa or on Nusa Dua beach, where the water is usually calm. Optional extras, paid locally or added at booking, include a Balinese spa treatment, water sports at nearby Tanjung Benoa, or a day trip by fast boat to Nusa Penida. Ask us the day before if you want a car for the evening.
Departure from Bali — After breakfast, check out; check-out is usually at noon. Your driver takes you to Ngurah Rai International Airport, about 20–30 minutes from Nusa Dua. Reach the airport 3 hours before your flight.

Personal expenses and tips
Visa & entry
Indian passport holders can get a visa on arrival for Indonesia. Apply online for the e-VOA before travel on the official site evisa.imigrasi.go.id (recommended), or buy it at Bali airport on arrival. The fee is currently IDR 500,000 per person, and the visa allows a 30-day stay that can be extended once by 30 days. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from arrival, and you need a return ticket. Two more steps apply. First, pay the Bali tourist levy of IDR 150,000 per person, once per trip, through the official Love Bali website or app. Second, fill in the free All Indonesia arrival declaration online within 3 days before landing and show its QR code at the airport. Indonesia has announced a planned increase in the visa fee, so we confirm the current fee when you book.
Good to know
At temples, cover your shoulders and knees. A sarong is provided at each temple visit on this tour.
Vegetarian food is easy to find, especially in Ubud, and Ubud and Nusa Dua have Indian restaurants. Tell the villa in advance if you need Jain food.
Bali's roads are narrow and traffic is slow, so drive times are approximate. Keep buffer time on the departure day.
Ubud is cooler and greener; Nusa Dua has calmer water for swimming than the west-coast beaches.
Currency is the Indonesian rupiah (IDR). Carry cash for markets and tips; exchange US dollars, as Indian rupees are hard to change.
Questions travellers ask
Is the pool private in both places?
Yes. Both villas we quote have their own pool for your use only. If we book a similar villa, it will also have a private pool.
Can we stay in Seminyak instead of Nusa Dua?
Yes. Seminyak has more cafes, shopping and nightlife; Nusa Dua is quieter with calmer water. The price changes slightly, and we can quote both.
Is the car private for the whole trip?
The car and driver are private for every transfer and tour in the plan. On the free day, an extra car can be arranged.
Is Nusa Penida included?
No. It is a long day by fast boat, so we keep it optional. We can add it with a private car on the island.
Do Indians get a visa on arrival?
Yes. The e-VOA can be bought online before travel or at the airport, and the Bali tourist levy is paid separately online.
