Questions travellers ask

How long is the darshan queue in Shirdi?

On normal weekdays the free general queue usually takes 1–2 hours. On Thursdays, weekends and festivals it can take 3–5 hours. Paid darshan passes shorten the wait.

Which aarti should we attend?

There are four daily aartis: Kakad (around 4:30 am), Madhyan (noon), Dhoop (sunset) and Shej (around 10 pm). Kakad and Shej have limited seats and usually need a pass booked in advance.

Can we add Trimbakeshwar or Nashik?

Yes. Trimbakeshwar is about 120 km (3 hours) from Shirdi. It fits as an extra day, or see our Maharashtra Jyotirlinga Yatra, which covers three Jyotirlingas with Shirdi.

Is Shirdi airport well connected?

Shirdi airport has a few daily flights, mostly from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi, and schedules change by season. Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar airports are alternatives, about 2.5–3 hours by road.
